About

Candid reflections on the controversial cultural and social issues within modernity.

I believe that culture is downstream from politics, and that there is this slow drip of a new authoritarian ethos that is attempting to turn the tide in its favour. As such, I wish to engage in and share the philosophical practices and tools so that we can be better equipped to navigate and combat the looming idiocy that is shaping our present and future.

The content will be somewhat eclectic and will be divided across two pages: 'Posts' and 'Papers'. The 'Post' page will be where I’ll share occasional ideas that I have, and 'Papers' is where I'll present some more academically-oriented work to a wider audience.

I've been known to discuss applied ethics, death, ancient Greek philosophy, philosophy of science, feminism, ontology of art, post-modernism, Marxism, and philosophy of religion. That said, the focus will be on controversial social and cultural flashpoints in my country of Canada and around the world.
